Publisher Description
In this New York Times bestselling extraordinary coming-of-age odyssey, Wally Lamb invites us to hitch a wild ride on a journey of love, pain, and renewal with the most heartbreakingly comical heroine to come along in years.
"Mine is a story of craving: an unreliable account of lusts and troubles that began, somehow, in 1956 on the day our free television was delivered...."
Meet Dolores Price. She's thirteen, wise-mouthed but wounded, having bid her childhood goodbye. Beached like a whale in front of her bedroom TV, she spends the next few years nourishing herself with the Mallomars, potato chips, and Pepsi her anxious mother supplies. When she finally rolls into young womanhood at 257 pounds, Dolores is no stronger and life is no kinder. But this time she's determined to rise to the occasion and give herself one more chance before really going belly up.
In this extraordinary coming-of-age odyssey, Wally Lamb invites us to hitch a wild ride on a journey of love, pain, and renewal with the most heartbreakingly comical heroine to come along in years. At once a fragile girl and a hard-edged cynic, so tough to love yet so inimitably lovable, Dolores is as poignantly real as our own imperfections. She's Come Undone includes a promise: you will never forget Dolores Price.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
This iconic and warmhearted coming-of-age novel is about working through some of the deepest and darkest problems that can haunt a young person. After being raped by a neighbor, teenager Dolores Price consoles herself with copious amounts of junk food and television. Her traumatic experiences eventually land her in a mental institution, where things finally begin to improve. Author Wally Lamb approaches the novel’s heavy themes—which include suicide and forced abortion—with a striking gentleness. He also balances the novel’s darkness with vivid, often funny descriptions of everyday life in ’60s and ’70s New England. If you’re looking for an emotional novel that keeps hope alive, check out She’s Come Undone.

She's Come Undone
I bought this book, because I like the author. The book is dark, enlightening, abhor read. From sweet young girl, to rebellious teen/ young adult to a mature, loving woman. She is all of us in some sort of accepting way.
I loved this book
A story that speaks to real life of someone dealing with real life issues ..
But also laugh out loud funny too
Love Wally Lambs work
Perfect!
This is an amazing tale of life and the paths we each choose to walk down! The main character is so well described I can picture, see her, feel her, and know her inside and out.
I couldn't put this book down! What amazed me the most was how Mr. Lamb was able to write about things he could not have experienced ( because he's male ) in real life, yet he did and he did it beautifully!
He is a wonderful, talented, amazing author! One of my favorite books of all time!
