Publisher Description
After fifty years of widespread speculation about UFOs and abductions by aliens, a distinguished historian and UFO researcher presents the first evidence-based explanation of alien intentions. Based on over thirty years of personal research, Professor Jacobs exposes the aliens' profoundly alarming agenda: to create a breed of alien-human 'hybrids' who will eventually colonise - and control - Earth. He explains why aliens are here, what they want and why their agenda has been kept secret. In doing so he presents a disturbing picture of a profoundly changed future in which humans will be relegated to inferior status. This incredible story is all the more remarkable because every account of an alien abduction is thoroughly documented and is corroborated by independent testimony. This book answers in astonishing depth some of the most important questions about the UFO phenomenon that researchers have been asking since the beginning of the controversy.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Whether UFOlogy--the study of UFOs--falls into the realm of science or science fiction is an open debate, but a number of serious scholars seriously believe that not only do UFOs exist but so do their alien crews. Perhaps the best known of these scholars is Harvard's John Mack. Jacobs (Secret Life) is another, and in this sensational book he contends that the aliens are using abductees to create a new race of "hybrid" beings, with the goal of "complete control of the humans on Earth." Jacobs bases this assertion on the premise that the majority of close encounters involve sexual contact. He inflates the meaning of this twist to the abductee experience by citing a poll that places the possible number of abductions in the United States at several million. Basing his theory primarily on interviews with abductees, many of them conducted under hypnosis, Jacobs outlines a scenario that includes women becoming impregnated, then having the embryos removed and brought to term artificially aboard a spacecraft. Men are also forced to contribute genetic material for the cause. Readers with even a passing familiarity with alien lore will feel they have read much of this before, as the replenishment of an alien gene pool is a staple of some of the more pessimistic quarters of UFOlogy. Die-hard paranoids may find this work a titillating confirmation of their worst fears, but most nonbelievers will find the book bizarre and unsavory. Some of the interview transcripts contain descriptions of rape by insectlike creatures intent on world domination; maybe it's time to call in the Starship Troopers?

The Threat
If you think UFOs are only famous for fifteen minutes in our society, Dr Jacobs' research shows that this is fifteen minutes longer than our society will be famous in the implacable hive minds behind the UFOs after their intense hybridisation program reaches its goal of world scale metamorphosis. Our demise as a species appears to be planned in great scope and detail and the aliens appear to be using every scientific and technological fibre of their vast resources to do it, our first casualties being the terms on which we can study them. We don't even know what our enemies are called or where they plan to dump our bodies. In reading The Threat I saw the end of the world, and it involves providing the world as a green-field real estate development for an ant colony which has grown a hive mind into your babies after raping people industriously in secret for long enough to produce several generations of many hybrids. They believe they deserve to inherit the earth for all the work they have put in. And they could turn up with our replacements tomorrow. May God save us from this monstrous fate of genocide. These creatures must themselves be in desperate circumstances to even conceive of doing this to us; perhaps they have a monumentally huge genetically aged population that has a desperate need for relatively unspoiled "lebensraum". Live to love your neighbour while you still possess the faculties to do it. Hard science, what are you good for, when history professors must identify for you the methods you should have used to save our very species? I suppose you can't expect to be blindsided when you're blind in both eyes.
