“Sometimes Life is Tough” is a highly illustrated book written specifically for children in ‘Out of Home Care’ (OoHC) settings.
Why do kids in care experience and express emotions slightly differently to their mainstream peers?
What are the things that they missed out on during their informative years, and what can be done about it?
Can we tell these kids that there is hope?

In October 2012, Bryan Jeffrey launched the printed version of this book “Sometimes Life is Tough” at the Foster Care Association of Victoria’s (FCAV) national conference in Melbourne. Feedback from kinship and foster carers suggests that the carers get as much out of this book as the young people that they care for.
