Music of Life

Вased on the Theory of Energy Harmony developed in the first two volumes of the series, this book builds bridges between physical and life sciences. It tackles fundamental questions that are considered the main riddles of biology. How do the four elements of non-living matter form the basic structures of living matter? What is the physical mechanism that binds them into biochemical molecules?
The proposed model proceeds from the assumption that there are no special biophysical laws and the mechanism of energy interactions is universal for all types of matter. The elements that form organic compounds have characteristics that allow them to create the Music of Life using this mechanism. Starting from a detailed account of how notes of this music arise, the book takes the reader step by step into the intricacies of the complex melodies, harmonies and rhythms of living matter.
By answering fundamental questions about non-animate and animate Matter the author paves the way to answering fundamental questions about the Mind. These questions are easy to formulate. What is it? What does it do? Why does it do it? How does it do it? However, they are not easily answerable from a physical perspective which is the only perspective science can take. Many people argue that the mission is impossible and explain the Mind away by proclaiming that it is non-physical and, thus, inaccessible for scientific study.
The author shows that the lack of explanation is only due to cognitive science remaining at the phenomenological level of study. It only describes the observed physiological phenomena and their mental outcomes leaving an explanatory gap between them. However, as in physics, causal explanation is the ultimate task in cognitive science. We should uncover the mechanism that works in living systems and produces the mental phenomena we combine in the word Mind. In this volume, the author builds the foundation for the theory of the Mind developed in the following parts of the “Symphony of Matter and Mind” project.
