Publisher Description
Lucille is 80 years old, smart, witty, caring, very sexual, and she just lost her husband ‘Peter’. Lucille is a freedom-loving, independent woman. So fitting in with a retirement home’s energy might be difficult. But she decides to take the step anyway. To everyone's surprise, she loves the home, and makes friends easily. Lucille also starts flings with numerous residents of the home. At the same time, Lucille starts suffering from dementia more and more. The home manager does not appreciate the free spirit and the commotion she causes in his otherwise peaceful place, so he tries to kick Lucille out.
The story is told by Liz, Lucille's granddaughter

A poignant story full of humor
I backed the publication of this book on Kickstarter so I had the privilege of reading an advance e-book edition—and what a pleasure!
Lucille's escapades are worth the price of admission, but there's so much more to it.
Felix Schaefer works with a deft hand and weaves in just the smallest amount of commentary on social hypocrisy versus reality in life and love. The devotion of Lucille's granddaughter, Liz, as she accompanies her grandmother through her last year to the final parting provides the ballast and brings the narrative to a touching conclusion.
An ending, I think, we might all wish for from life.
