This is a manual introducing the One Hundred Years of Sinking trilogy, about the causes and process of writing, the past and present lives of the author, as well as the serialization of some chapters. 

One Hundred Years of Sinking is a trilogy of chronicled historical novels, six books in total, based on historical events in China during the 20th century and the personal experiences of the author's family members. The time spans a hundred years, the space spans across China, and finally across America and Canada. 

It is a romance and a history. It is also a journey of Chinese women's growth in the 20th century.
