Stars on Earth

The recent discovery of an ancient, multistructural mortuary/ceremonial complex and astrological observatory on the Central California coast supports the model that prehistoric South Indian, Australasian, and Polynesian peoples utilized celestial navigation and stellar mapping to cross the Pacific Ocean and settle the Americas. This interdisciplinary study is supported by evidence from diverse fields, including geology, Indigenous studies, archaeology, archaeoastronomy, anthropology, linguistics, and genetics.
