I returned to this series after years

The Pendragon books always haunted me, I adored them as a teenager, but I never got to finish the series due to complicated life events. I left off at book 9, I think - but didn’t remember much of what happened throughout the series. I reread the entire series and completed it within two and a half weeks, and my nagging memories were finally put to rest. And this series is one that was worth having been bothered leaving incomplete for so long.

(Spoilers below)

Pendragon reminds us what it is to be human. In our cold, capitalistic society sometimes that escapes us. Something is often lost. But these books are all about being people. Whether fallible due to vice like the Lifelighters on Veelox, afraid to face the world like the denizens of Faar, corrupt like the gangsters of First Earth, there is something so incredibly human about every person in this book. There are brave people everywhere, and all it takes to reignite hope in all people, human or Klee, is a spark. And this spark exists in everyone. A reminder to look at life with chins up. Less dread. More ‘Hobey-ho, let’s go,’
