Reading this book lends the feeling you get when someone you love dies, and after you realize that yes, the sun really IS going to rise tomorrow, so you get a box of Kleenex, turn the phone back on, and start doing what must be done. You ask those close if they would like anything, you get rid of as much of his/her stuff off to Goodwill as fast as possible, lest you weaken, and you keep the last shirt he wore but not yet washed, the lotion she wore when she was fresh out of the shower, so once every once in a while you can catch that scent..... I generally try to avoid cliches because, well, they're cliches. But this book speaks from the heart, and being a fan of GC, I thank the author for sharing all of this. I always liked him onstage, but never knew the part of his heart she reveals.
