On March 15, 2000, A.M.R. was suspended from school, pending expulsion, for "[p]ossessing, using, and being under the influence
of alcohol." Record, p. 31. Subsequently, on March 30, 2000, the State filed a petition in which it alleged that A.M.R. violated
the terms of her probation by being suspended from school pending expulsion.
