Adverse Drug Effects of Pedatric Population

Descripción editorial

An important issue in the world of health care is adverse drug events in the pediatric population due to medication errors. The main goals are prevention and to innovate new methods to reduce the medication errors that occur in this population. As researchers obtain more knowledge about how drugs are metabolized in children, the amount of adverse drug effects should be decreasing .In children, drug errors can result in fatalities up to 14% (Kleiber et al., 2015). This problem was selected because research is continually being updated, and new methods are being implemented in hospitals regarding pediatric adverse effects to medication errors.
