By the Lake

The supernatural apocalypse is here, and humans are no longer at the top of the food chain. Finally! No more hiding underground for my kind. But some beings have left the shadows to claim Earth for themselves, our kingdom included. So now we must form an alliance with the enemy of our enemy. Gargoyles.

When the winged hunks land in our forest to discuss terms, I get a front-branch seat… at the border. Yep, I'm stuck on guard duty tonight. Paired with the biggest gargoyle of them all, who prefers rumbles and wing flaps to words. Just peachy. The negotiations can't end soon enough.

Except the more I look at my partner's overly long fangs and swishing tail, the cuter he seems. And that growly attitude combined with a subtle sense of humor? It's kind of endearing. How am I to refuse his offer to skinny-dip in the lake? Our bond is forbidden, but I've never been one to follow the rules.

By the Lake is a post-apocalyptic fantasy romance about a mischievous she-elf forced to partner up with a growly gargoyle for a night of danger… and seduction. Hop on for a tale of forbidden love, lots of yearning, some bow action, and quite a few laughs on the way to the guaranteed HEA. This is the third book in the Brave New World series but can be read as a standalone. For mature readers only.
