Charlotte "Charlie" Taylor has been dressing like a man and wearing guns since her father kicked her out of the house at 17. She'd been very happy that way until she met Travis MacGregor. He made her feel things she'd never felt before. Made her want to do and be what she had never been as an adult woman. 

 

Travis MacGregor came to Oregon City to set up a law practice. His terrible sense of direction ran him right into Charlie Taylor. And this time he was very glad he couldn’t tell north from south. One look at Charlie and he knew she was the one. Travis came to Oregon City to start over, to become the kind of attorney, the kind of man, he’d always wanted to be. He needed a wife for his dream to be reality and wanted Charlie to be that wife, even though she defied convention.
