Australian naturalist Ethel Pedley spins a fantastic tale about a five-year-old girl named Dot, who becomes lost in the bush. A motherly kangaroo befriends Dot and puts the little girl in her pouch. During their quest to return Dot home, the duo meets other animals who help teach Dot about the intricate bush habitat and humans’ role in its destruction.
