Kitra’s return to Favil is anything but welcoming.

After being snatched from the air and transported back to the city-state she once called home, Kitra is tossed into a solitary cell, unaware of the life-threatening plan Madame Hilda has in store for her.

Bayn makes his own return to Lunin, where he finds out the truth behind the contract between Lunin and Neuria, as well as the manufactured bond between human and Vertaan.

Chetra, once prideful of her status in Madame Hilda’s circle, begins to crack under the pressure of her duties. It all culminates when Lyrvan breaks her confidence and shakes her spirit to the core. He, in turn, finds the strength he lacked, but is it too late?Erstwynd survives the surprise attack on Favil. The Inyan finally settle in the frigid city-state, but that peace is terse. The Four Orders, however, must make a decision when they are asked for help by an unexpected individual.
