The authors are living in Uganda since 2002 and before working in Uganda they have build up a huge experience on cultivating and using plants since the eighties on their organic farm in the South of France. Through this book you shall learn how to identify 27 of healing plants, shrubs and trees that are safe and effective for treating common ailments and injuries, to prepare infusions, decoctions, oils, tinctures, ointments, powders and much more. The first chapter covers a few simple principles of a healthy lifestyle and some basic rules of hygiene. The second chapter provide for each of the 27 plants their botanical name, their vernacular names, a description, if the plant has some toxicity, if you can use them internally or externally and for which disorder and finally how to prepare that particular plant. The third chapter contains the medical index an A to Z list of disorders explained in a simple way and their herbal treatment. For each recipe the plant part to use, the preparation method, and a warning on side effects if any recorded.
