The love of God is so great, so rich and effective that words are really inadequate to describe it. Perhaps the best way to catch a glimpse of God's love is primarily to experience it personally and secondarily to see it at work in the hearts and lives of several other people. Moreover, the Bible provides us with Divine declarations and many episodes that demonstrate God's love.
