LAUGE-HANSEN
Ankle Fractures
Descripción editorial
Being able to make an accurate diagnosis of an ankle fracture can be challenging for a variety of reasons. Part of the difficulty arises because of the complex anatomy of the area and the rotational mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of the different injuries. Consequently, it is important for the podiatrist to have strong mental models of the relationships among the bones and ligaments of the ankle, and to consider the position of the foot when the injury occurred. This interactive book was developed to provide visual representations of ankle fractures using Lauge-Hansen’s classification system.
