Ali is an ordinary girl working in an ordinary job, but she has always had one special dream – to dance at the Annual Latham Ball. 

Brandon needs an excuse not to marry Caitlyn, the woman his parents think he should marry. He has a week to find a woman to pretend to be the one he loves.

A hazelnut latte brings the two of them together and Brandon has seven days to convince Ali to pose as his fiancée. Kind-hearted Ali takes pity on the mysterious Brandon and agrees to accompany him to the Latham Ball on Saturday, but she doesn't expect to develop feelings for the funny, kind and good-looking Brandon.

They agree to meet to get to know more about each other and on every 'date' Ali finds her feelings deepen.

Brandon is open about what he wants from life and none of it matches the future Ali has been dreaming about -the happy home, the noisy, messy kids and a happy ever after.

As news of their romance spreads around her very small hometown, and folk believe their love is real, Ali begins to regret ever saying yes to Brnadon but the lure of one night feeling like a princess at the Latham Ball.
