J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan: Peter and Wendy follows Wendy Darling and her brothers, John and Michael, whose ordinary London childhood is transformed when Peter Pan, the mysterious boy who refuses to grow up, enters their bedroom. Peter teaches the children to fly and takes them to Neverland, a magical island inhabited by Lost Boys, fairies, mermaids, pirates, and other extraordinary creatures.

In Neverland, Wendy becomes a motherly figure to the Lost Boys while Peter leads them through exciting adventures and dangerous encounters with Captain Hook, the determined pirate who has sworn to defeat him. Their adventures involve battles, rescues, hidden caves, and encounters with the fantastical inhabitants of the island.

Beneath its imaginative adventure, the story explores childhood, freedom, family, imagination, friendship, and the inevitable transition toward adulthood. Peter represents the seductive freedom of remaining a child forever, while Wendy gradually recognizes the importance of growing up and returning home. Barrie balances playful fantasy with moments of melancholy, creating a story that celebrates childhood while acknowledging that it cannot last forever.
