Saving Rifqa Bary

Rifqa Bary's journey begins in Sri Lanka. Because of an unfortunate accident requiring medical attention, Rifqa, her two siblings and her parents, devout Muslims come to america. Growing up near Columbus, OH, Rifqa became fully integrated into American life. At age 13,  she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior. When her parents found out, her life was in jeopardy since a tenet if Islam is to "kill those who leave the faith."  This graphic novel is about her harrowing escape, finding sanctuary with loving Christian Pastors, the subsequent legal battles in the courtroom, and her ultimate freedom. This story will provide the courage and stimulus for other young muslims to follow her path and find peace and salvation.
