Descripción editorial
A practical guide for people who want to learn meditation free of any of the trappings of religion. The book is a project of the Harvard Humanist Community, which has hosted a secular meditation program for the last five years. The goal of these meditations is to help find joy and relieve stress without having to participate in uncomfortable religious practices. A major emphasis is loving-kindness practice, which helps people experience love and joy in their personal lives, and has the potential of nurturing a more caring society. The anticipated length of the book is 60,000 words. There will be about 35 chapters. These will present meditation and mindfulness exercises with step-by-step instructions, personal stories, discussions and questions for the reader.
