Descripción editorial

Black Americans must learn how to overcome the negativity left behind as a result of slavery and have the courage to look within themselves for the answers they need. Understanding the words of God provides the key to unlocking the power of his holy covenant that should be passed down from generation to generation.

In his book Self Hate, Charles Thomas explores society's dysfunction and self hate as it relates to being dead to the love of faith in the holy covenant and love of one another as a group.

Drawing on the Bible, the Qur'an and the Torah, Charles passionately implores people to embrace a holy covenant of peace that connects all people of faith, shared by the prophets. He urges faithful people to stop fighting amongst themselves and rekindle their love of God - and each other -- through prayer and new understanding of the basic underpinnings of belief, learning to serve and respect that covenant and not the ideals of man.

Charles Thomas grew up just after World War II in Jackson, Michigan, with his parents, two sisters and two brothers, one of whom died when young. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
