T. P. - Wise Learn to Read

T.P., 2nd reader, increases the child’s recognition of new letters and words.  The verb “go” is introduced and used along with the verb “see.”  Verbs are restricted in the first readers as are adjectives and adverbs.  The sentence structure is kept simple to create a successful experience for the young reader. There is also a new character being introduced named Kay.  The numbers at the bottom of the pages familiarize the child with reading numbers. The reading of numbers is a necessary step in learning arithmetic. Both the Roman and Arabic numerals are used for page numbers.
