Taylor Wells is from rural Iowa. She’s universally acknowledged to be the finest young actress her small town has ever produced—she won a Best Actress trophy for her performance as Desdemona in last winter’s production of Othello at the local high school—and she’s sure she can have a big career out in Hollywood. She has it all, brains, beauty, talent, and self-confidence; what could possibly stop her?

After graduating from high school, Taylor sneaks away from home and flies out to the west coast, intent on making her fondest dreams come true. Aided and abetted by her old friend Ava, who has made the same journey three years earlier, Taylor soon learns that the burgeoning acting career Ava has told her about is in the adult film industry—porn—not the mainstream cinema/ TV business Taylor wants to make a career in. The agent Ava introduces her to only works with, and has contacts with porn people, not real movie stars or traditional studios.

Will she follow Ava’s lead and take the adult film route, while still tying to break into mainstream films? And, if she does, will she be able to leave the tawdry world of X-rated movies behind and make a career for herself in real movies?
