Upheaval: The Liberation of Zubare

For generations, the Katohrian empire has occupied the neighboring island of Zubare, stripping it of its natural resources. They have worked the land tirelessly in search of a legend, which is rumored to exist somewhere on the island. As costs for their search rise, the Kantohrian government increases taxes with each passing year. Now that the people have been taxed into starvation, the citizens threaten to revolt and the increasing forces stand eager to kill.

Miami and Aiko, two young members of Greca farm, join their leader's efforts in repelling the occupying forces. The other farm clans join Musashi, the leader of the Greca clan, in a covert mission to sabotage the General's latest tax shipment. The next day, the General's soldiers conduct a raid on each farm. During the raid on Greca farm, Musashi and his wife, Qwen, stay behind to buy Miami, Aiko, Granny, and the younger children enough time to escape.

With no home left to return to, the two young rebels and their family set out to meet an influential benefactor. On the way, they run into a strange man and even stranger dog, who offers their help in exchange for Aiko's hand in marriage! They soon discover that their clan's benefactor is also on the run from the Kantohrian government, suspected for treason. Now they all must hide from the government until they can locate Musashi. When Musashi does not meet them at their clan's hideout, they begin to fear the worst.

Left with nowhere to go and no one else to rely on, it is up to these four. Can they liberate the island and expel the Kantohrian empire? Will they find Musashi or any other members of the Greca Farm Clan?

Will the island itself be swallowed whole by a savage civil war?
