Abatement -- cause of action for "injury to the person." An action to recover loss of earnings and medical, hospital, and nursing expenses resulting from personal injuries caused
by the negligence of a wrongdoer who was instantly killed by the act of negligence is based on a cause of action for "injury
to the person," which dies with the person of the tortfeasor under Mason St. 1927, § 9656.
