Beschreibung des Verlags

Wuthering Heights is Emily Brontë's only novel. It was first published in 1847 under the pseudonym Ellis Bell, and a posthumous second edition was edited by her sister Charlotte. The name of the novel comes from the Yorkshire manor on the moors on which the story centres (as an adjective, wuthering is a Yorkshire word referring to turbulent weather). The narrative tells the tale of the all-encompassing and passionate, yet thwarted, love between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, and how this unresolved passion eventually destroys them and many around them.

Missing important passages, possibly AI

As I listened, I noticed that the audio would often be cut at weird points. Sometimes the speaker's voice does a very weird thing with the intonation in the middle of a sentence that makes me suspect some kind of computer or AI involvement, because no natural human would pause in the middle of a sentence like that. Worst of all, it's missing important passages and stitched together so the narrative doesn't even make sense anymore. For example it's missing the entire "Whatever souls are made of, his and mine are the same" confession! Not only is this one of the most famous quotes from the book, the plot also doesn't make sense with this scene cut out. That makes it useless as an audiobook IMO
