An Acclimation to Life

Daughter, sister, wife, mother, teacher, and counselor. All are titles Taska Trueblood has held throughout her life. Born to Gus and Ilani Trueblood and sister to Laval Trueblood, Taska grew up on a forty-acre farm with a close family. Spending her days playing in the dirt, running after her brother, and being frustrated with having to stop playing to go pee, Taska showed early on that she would be spirited all her life. 

The quizzical and expressive child would grow into a smart and talented teenager. She excelled in school, writing, mathematics, and baton twirling. From teenager to young adult, she would marry Shawn Stevens, and become a teacher as she wanted. Motherhood would follow a few years behind this.

Taska has lived life with a loving family and faced tragedy, disappointment, excitement, special moments, and average days. Attending college, accepting her first job, marrying, and so much more. Life with its ups and downs are shown in the story of Taska’s life and the lives of her family members.
