Benny and the Basketball Bully

In this first children's book by author and poet David L. Watkins, an 11-year-old boy learns the strength of his values when he is challenged by an older child. Benny looks up to Jimmy, who is a skilled basketball player, but Jimmy makes fun of Benny and the way he lives his life. Benny retreats and hides from the "bully" until Jimmy crosses a boundary by challenging Benny's belief system, forcing Benny to make his stand.
