Brief thoughts on a big country

Years of business trips to the USA convinced designer John Cameron that a coast to coast road trip would be the best way of getting closer to what makes America the extraordinary place it appears to be. 

Shunning modern motorcycles he chose a 42 year old BMW 60/6 for the 4,800 mile road trip. 

In contrast however, he picked the latest digital drawing tools and an iPad to create a 'drawing a day" making illustrations of the extraordinary sights and discoveries along the way. 

The book illuminates some of the fundamental aspects of American culture that baffle outsiders, Lawn care, Gun law, Obesity, Healthcare and the archaic electrical plugs they insist on using!
