Claimed by the Capo's Driver

Gia Fusco has spent nine years making the dead look peaceful for people who don't deserve it. It pays the bills and it never surprises her.

Until a body arrives with a wound she recognises as a signature, and she takes one photograph before anyone comes back for the paperwork.

Now she's a witness. The Marchettis assign her a driver named Nico Santoro, who has been sitting in cars outside her building for nine years and has never once come inside. He moves onto her couch that night.

Nine weeks later she's pregnant by a man who is technically her bodyguard, definitely her kidnapper, and the only person in her life who has ever told her the truth.

The capo wants her photographs. Nico wants her on a plane. Gia wants the girl in the pictures to see the morning.

So she makes her own deal, and then she and Nico drive until the license plate doesn't matter.
