Aidan and Jason meet in college and form a firm friendship. The growing attraction between them eventually leads to a clandestine affair which sees them both cheating on their girlfriends.

Jason comes out as gay, but Aidan doesn’t, won’t even acknowledge their relationship.

Eventually they split after it becomes clear that Aidan simply isn’t ready to accept his sexuality.

Jason moves on, ready to put the whole sorry saga behind him.

He’s convinced himself he’s in love, but the truth is that he’s still in the same pattern as before, still unable to be open about this new relationship.
