Benjamin Tucker's collection of essays, Instead of a Book by a Man Too Busy to Write One: A Fragmentary Exposition of Philosophical Anarchism, provides the best-possible sampling of his insight, analysis, and prescriptions for a political and economic system in transition. The essays and letters are drawn from Tucker's publication Liberty, which he started as a small newsletter in 1881, a time of extraordinary intellectual creativity in the US.
