North Carolina Tarheels All And Damned Proud Of It

Claudia Church of WTVI in Charlotte, producer of North Carolina, Home in My Heat, would argue the the Tarheel State is alll about misty mountains, whispering waterfalls and shining lakes.

I would rather argue that, North Carolina, Tarheels All And Damned Proud Of It, is a much better title about those who love this, the Old North State.

For all of my early years, my life was one of tobacco and nothing else but tobacco, which I considered a very good thing to be a part of. My Daddy and Uncle Floyd raised it for market sale in Danville VA and my mother long and hard worked for the American Tobacco Company in Reidsville.

I grew up watching the Andy Griffith Show at 8 PM on Monday evenings and never missed a single episode from its premiere in September of 1960 until its last rerun in August of  !968. For all of my life, I then searched all across America for a real-life Mayberry.

After my retirement, I sold all of my property, packed my belongings and moved west to the tiny village of Clemmons, where I indeed discovered my dream town,

Therefore, after having traveled all across America, Canada, Western Europe and even the Mediterranean, as well as the Caribbean. I have returned to my roots to tell readers why North Carolina is the finest  of all these United States.

To the right is a superb White Dogwood, or Cornus florida, which is North Carolina's state flower and symbolic of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
