Petals of Deception

Thirty-four year old Mary Ellen Forsman believes she has finally met her dream man when Harvey Broyhill asked her out. Although he is sixteen years old than she, slightly balding, she agrees to marry him when he asked her a few months later. That was months ago, now in two weeks she will be married, but her mother, Gladys, is beginning to question just who is this Harvey Broyhill who moved to their small town of Farley, Alabama. Did he have anything to do with his first wife's death? But Mary Ellen doesn't worry about Harvey's past. She wants to know who is putting yellow roses on their front porch in the middle of the night and sending gifts in the middle of the day? They can not catch the person even when they stay up, watching, waiting, nor can they find out from where the gift are coming. Gladys will do all she can to stop this marriage, but would she put doubt in Harvey's mind of another boyfriend by leaving yellow roses? She's willing to climb into a dumpster, be arrested by the police, and check out Harvey but what else would she do?

This should be the most joyful time for Mary Ellen, but her world has turned upside. Crazy flowers, crazy gifts, and a crazy mother, and a jealous boyfriend. Could anything else go wrong?And then David comes to town...
