Reconstruction in Post-Taliban Afghanistan: Women and Education‪.‬

This paper examines the postwar needs and priorities of women and the reconstruction of the ruined education system in post-Taliban Afghanistan. The country's reconstruction and short- and long-term development profoundly depend on the ability to establish and secure secular educational institutions. Should Afghanistan's reconstruction fall to address women's empowerment through the education system, there could be a serious risk of repeating the tragically destructive modern history of the region. Cette etude examine les besoins et les priorites d'apres-guerre des Afghanes, ainsi que la reconstruction du systeme d'education dans l'Afghanistan post-taliban. Cette reconstruction et le developpement general, a court ou a long terme, dependent avant tout de la capacite d'etablir el de maintenir des institutions pedagogiques seculaires. Si l'Afghanistan omettait de prendre en consideration le progres que pourraient faire les femmes grace a un systeme d'education equitable, le pays risquerait de repeter sa recente histoire tragiquement destructive.
