Siddhartha

Siddhartha is a philosophical novel about a young man’s journey to discover the true meaning of life and enlightenment. Although inspired by Buddhist and Hindu ideas, the story focuses on personal experience rather than religious teachings. Siddhartha leaves his comfortable life, explores asceticism, wealth, love, and suffering, and eventually learns wisdom through life itself and the symbolism of a river.
