The questionable actions of Freylar's previous leaders usher in the vale's potential demise, as past transgressions catch up with the present and old scores are settled.  Freylar's true nemesis is finally revealed – now free of its shackles – and sets its sights on those who have contributed to its torment, its twisted will bent on bringing the Freylarkai to heel.  Can the domain's protectors find a way to set their differences aside in order to vanquish the heinous, long-standing adversary threatening their existence, or will old wounds – wrought by Freylar's turbulent history – reopen and prove to be Freylar's undoing?

A'mohr is a disadvantaged young female who has endured suffering for most of her life, continuously shunned and tormented by her detractors – her own family included.  Struggling to get by, she is steered along an increasingly dark path by the uncaring actions of others, seeking to rid themselves of her unwanted presence.  Unable to prevent her spiralling descent into the looming abyss, who else will join her in oblivion as the intense hatred that she harbours continues to fester, devouring everything caught in its orbit like a malevolent black hole.
