John´s future appears to have stabilised with Rosemary and his son, David, living with him at Riversmeet. However, Alison wants to get him thrown out of the Stacey Trust. He is becoming involved with Lady Sylvia Colville, wife of the owner of Burleigh Park Estate, and this leads to problems. The block of luxury flats at St James becomes a profitable development when a Saudi princess decides to take the top two floors. He has problems at the Worcester development and recruits Alan Kandrisekar as the new general manager. An estate agent is purchased in Windsor to improve sales at Burleigh. Then Rosemary discovers she has ovarian cancer.
