The Broken-hearted

Becker shows us here the necessity and nature of a heart truly broken over its sinfulness. He first deals with the false broken heart. Then he brings us to the characteristics of a truly broken heart, such as contrition and shame for sin and a willingness to serve God. He shows how God the Holy Spirit binds up the broken-hearted by giving them faith in the Word.
