Virtues and Vices of Exceptional Leaders

Pete Ashby specialises in working with top performing teams.  One of the characteristics of every one of them is that they are headed up by a top performing leader.  For this publication, Pete has imagined himself talking to you as a top performing leader and discussing with you the spectrum of behaviours so often exhibited by exceptional leaders, with virtues sitting at one end of the spectrum and vices at the other.


In Virtues and Vices Pete’s proposition is that the behaviours of many Chief Executives are constantly shifting across this spectrum from virtues to vices, and vice versa.  Even though these shifts are nearly always very modest they can have a significant impact on performance, through members of your top team changing their behaviours in response to the lead that you are setting and the whole organisation being affected by these dynamics at the top.
