Wonderful characters and wonderful narration
What a wonderful read to stay the new year with!!!!!
If every a booked needed more than 5 stars this is the one and I highly recommend Breaker Cane and Ophelia (Lia) Fairweather-Fern’s friends to lovers journey. Ms Quinn has once again given us a read with characters to fall hard and fast for but more importantly she has given us a journey we won’t forget and I’m sure like me readers will be revisiting this book time and time again.
The narration duo of Erin Mallon and J.F. Harding did a wonderful job bringing the characters and the story to life. The banter was perfect and I really felt like I was part of the conversations happening between Breaker and Lia.
I loved the sassy and feisty Lia but it was the quirky Breaker who stole my heart as I watched these best friends move to the next level and finally become lovers. It wasn’t easy for them to open up and take a chance with their true feeling and it was only when Breaker’s brothers Huxley and JP and their wife’s intervened that love came shining through for this adorable couple. A fantastic read that’s witty, heartwarming and entertaining. I laughed til I cried at parts of their story and Breaker has stolen a piece of my heart that I’m not sure I will ever get back. A perfect addition to the Cane Brothers Series and I highly recommend you one click now.

From the first to the last chapter, I was invested in best friends to lovers Breaker Cane and Ophelia (Lia) Fairweather-Fern and the story Ms. Quinn wove. A Long Time Coming was well written with characters who you cannot help but fall for, flaws and all.
A Meghan Quinn story is always an entertaining read. There were moment where I laughed so much I had trouble catching my breath. The texts between the characters were entertaining, their banter witty and the friendship they shared was truly genuine.
I loved how quirky, sassy and feisty Lia was and Breaker was just as quirky and I loved how once they finally took the blinders off and were open and honest with one another about their true feelings, it all fell into place.
Breaker’s relationship with his brothers Huxley and JP and their wives added an additional layer to the story as they offered him advice and support. This book is a little gem and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
Erin Mallon and J.F. Harding did a fabulous job with their narration. They brought the characters and story to life for me with their wonderful narration and certainly did justice not only to the characters but also the story that Meghan Quinn wove.
