Life has never been better for Jamie Donovan. Always has been. And now that it’s his turn to take charge of the family pub, he truly feels like everything in his life is just the way it’s supposed to be. Or it was until an early morning knock on his door ended with a baby on his doorstep. The man who can normally charm his way out of any situation doesn’t know the first thing about taking care of a baby and running a business. And so he turns to his siblings for help. And once they tell him their solution, he wishes he’d never asked for help. Fallon Murphy has always prided herself on being good with people. In all her life, she’s only met one person she hasn’t been able to get along with. Unfortunately, their parents are best friends, and avoiding him just wasn’t a choice. When his sister calls stating an emergency, the last thing Fallon expects is to find an abandoned baby—one that belongs to Jamie. As much as she’d love nothing more than to see Jamie fail at something, she would never put an innocent child at risk. They’re rivals. Sworn enemies. And now…roommates. Can one small baby help turn adversaries into lovers? Or maybe even…a family?

Wonderful story with wonderful narration
Another visit to Laurel Bay and another catch up with the crazy Donovan clan. This time around we get to know Jamie Donovan and Fallon Murphy and boy do they have an entertaining tale to tell.
Carly Robins did a wonderful job with the narration and bringing the characters and their journey to life. The emotions were spot in and she was very easy to listen too.
What do you do when you suddenly find a baby on the doorstep, well if you are a Donovan you call your family for help. Problem is they in turn call the woman who drives you crazy and before you know it Fallon has become nanny to Asher who is Jamie’s newborn. What follows is an entertaining journey as Jamie and Fallon decide to put the past and their feelings behind them and concentrate on baby Asher.
The only problem here is we all know there fine line between love and hate and as they spend time together feelings come bubbling to the surface. Will the future be rosy for Jamie, Fallon and Asher…..one click this gem of a read to find out.
I loved this book, I adored the characters, I love how the Donovan siblings always pull together when needed but what took this story to another level was watching Jamie go from a player to a father. Looking forward to reading more from the family I think of as friends.
