Well written and I’m still frustrated
This is a well written book but you can tell the disparity between two frames of mine so it’s a giveaway that there’s two authors however the descriptions of events and mountains is very detailed and the description of things like the Orgy or relationships are brushed over. I feel like there was opportunities to explore more about characters and relationships and ethnicities of the characters at the beginning of the novel to avoid confusion later and the bonus chapter Stark was kind of pivotal to the stories understanding so it’s fantastic that it has been added but also adding throughout the book would’ve given it a bit more clarity I was searching for around certain situations. I’m giving it a three star because whilst it was well written and well thought out I found the plot with a few potholes in character development for example Merryn is a tough Street fighter but allows Killian to call her kitten. These things don’t marry. For me. The person seems different for different people and she seems to go against task like joining the army the slowest route possible to find her sister. There seems to be moments where she almost forgets her task at hand and as the reader you’re left a little frustrated as to why she’s so sidetracked and hysterical given her Street smarts. The twist are fantastic.
