Publisher Description
Former GRS operator and Navy SEAL Garrett Davis is the walking, talking definition of regret. His guilt weighs heavy. The pain and misery he carries cripples him. When a tragic accident takes him back to his hometown, he’s not prepared to face the woman he left behind. The woman who should’ve been his—was his, until he broke her heart.
Mellie doesn’t have time for Garrett to strong-arm his way back into her life. She doesn’t want to remember all the ways he loved and protected her when they were children. It’s not easy to dream of a life full of love when your high school sweetheart dumps you before you make it down the aisle. She’s long ago given up on happy endings. Besides, all thoughts of happiness evaporate when your sister is murdered and the police don’t believe you.
But what she wants and what she needs are very different when her sister’s killer turns his attention on her.
Garrett has one shot to protect the woman he’s loved since they were kids. One shot to heal two broken hearts. One chance to prove their future is worth fighting for. Garrett’s redemption won’t come easy, as Melissa Rivers is not the same girl he broke.
Spoiler alert: He fails. So he does what he figures any man who is faced with losing everything does—he kidnaps her and takes to the only person he knows who can help him—Zane Lewis.
Too bad the killer follows....

This is a fitting end to blue team and you won’t be disappointed.
Garrett’s journey has been a slow burn from book one.
As he travels home to be with his family after a near tragedy we finally get delve into Garrett’s psyche
and why he left the one woman he loved.
Melissa is sweet, honest and the caring to those she loves at the detriment to her own needs. She is her family’s problem solver. But push her buttons and she is a firecracker.
We meet Garrett’s dad and he brings so much to this journey… I loved his character so much. He was integral to the story.
In the midst of this are two beautiful children have heartbreak surrounding them it’s how Melissa deals with this that places herself at risk.
Garrett’s steps in and uses his alpha ways to try and solve the situation putting Melissa on the back foot . In these moments we see the true Garrett, vulnerable, worn out, scared and devastated. But Melissa fights back showing true strength in admitting to her part in their estrangement.
As Garrett learns to rely on his former team to assist Melissa and her family he heals in ways he never thought possible.
It’s a story of forgiveness, redemption, and truly letting go of the past and looking into the future.
Now for silver team..
Garrett & Mellie!! 😍
We see Garrett returning to his hometown and face to face with his high school sweetheart, Mellie.
It hasn’t been easy for Mellie, firstly the love of her life walks away and then tragedy strikes her family.
I love how Riley Edwards wove their rekindled romance with humour and s3xy times and a little uncertainty of what they may discover thrown in.
Together, Mellie’s strong will and determination, Garrett’s need to protect her made me fall in love with them.
Janine Granda and Sebastian York’s performances complimented each other brilliantly. They had me captivated from the beginning.
Highly recommend Garrett written by Riley Edwards.
