Some Good but a Lot of Shame
There’s a lot of merit to the idea of feeling the depression and still deciding to try but I’d be cautious about reading this book if you struggle with shame or guilt as especially the start of chapter two talks about how the depression can make us “selfish and whiny” while that can be true I found the way it was worded was very judgement/shame based and not compassionate. I wish I’d bought the ebook to skim rather than the audiobook. That said I can imagine there will be people who find this very useful.
