But Hannibal's demons visit him and torment him. When he is old enough, he visits them in turn.
He discovers he has gifts beyond the academic, and in that epiphany, Hannibal Lecter becomes death's prodigy.
What the hell?
This is so creepy.. you have to hear it to believe.. Listening to the preview is enough for me!
I agree with the last review. Thomas Harris' wonderful voice gives a creepy feel to this audiobook. It is in my opinion a masterpiece
hannibal: cannibal serial killer or abused child?
i would suggest you ignore the other previews...
Thomas Harris is perfect to narrate his novels and his powerful grating voice fills the vision he has created with a sense of purpose and a hardened steely edge necessary to fulfill his ambitious novels. after listening to his past audiobooks of Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal - i was excited to hear his version of Hannibal Rising. The 'unrated' version of the film was in my opinion far superior to all the brilliant past film efforts and really cemented for me the viscera of Hannibal's lust. In no way should we celebrate a serial killer let alone a cannibal - however it is the 'human condition' that we should know what it takes to make this happen and make sure that it does not happen again... i believe that Thomas Harris perfectly captures this investigative analysis and psychological thesis expertly well with the whole series and his rendition of the audiobooks is clearly the only way to hear the series the way they were meant to be heard. Praise and Hail....
