Taking us through millions of years of evolution and adaptation, the British naturalist distils his vast subject matter into clear narratives. As with the original TV version and his many documentaries since, Attenborough reads the audiobook with a warm blend of authority, empathy and wonder, whether he’s turning his gentle focus to plants, animals or humans. A whole-hearted celebration of life itself, Life on Earth is more enlightening than ever.

My 2 Year Old Loves Him as Much As I Do
Having grown up watching Sir David Attenborough on the BBC, marvelling at his adventures, learning all he shared and feeling comforted by his calm and empathetic tone. I found this audio book which I was so excited to play for my youngest daughter. She listens at bed time after books and a song. Often drifting off to his grandfatherly voice. She asks ‘Planet earth! Planet Earth!’ And it melts my heart. He is a true treasure and this book is more important, in my opinion than any other for this next generation.
