Great read
Great book. Character development is brilliant. Really draws you in and you can form a clear picture of the main protagonists in your mind.
I felt myself on the edge of my seat a few times throughout the book. There were a few times during the book where I didn’t realise that I had been holding my breath or that my heart was beating faster than usual, until the scene was over and I felt a rush of relief for the group!
The narrator does a brilliant job at matching a voice with each person in the story and she even nails their change in tone throughout conversations. It’s almost like you’re watching a movie with different actors!
Read it. Recommend it. Teens and adults alike! Glad it was recommended to me.
(After listening to the second book in the series, I was disappointed the narrator changed - she doesn’t do any of the other books actually. I did enjoy the second book but it took me a few chapters to settle in and adjust to the change.)
